Reliable continued operation: analyses for old turbines

The expert network 8.2 offers individual analyses for changes of ownership, in particular of large old turbine inventories. These include trend analyses which, among other things, reflect the reliability of wind turbines over 20 years. 8.2 spokesperson Philipp Stukenbrock emphasizes: The analysis services at 8.2 should benefit both old wind farms and plans for later repowering (interview sh. article).

The network's continued operation experts prepare dismantling cost reports, optimize operation for a longer service life or install the 8.2 proprietary Eco CMS sensor system, which continuously monitors the condition of the components. When wind farms are located in designated wind energy priority areas, they help to balance individual interests well against each other.

“If a repowering project is possible, we adjust our analytical calculations and coordinate directly with the customer which procedure is best,” says Philipp Stukenbrock.
