WFO Wirtschaftsforum Offshore: Addendum

8.2 Consulting AG was one of the sponsors of this year's WFO Offshore Economic Forum on Heligoland and was represented there by CEO Heiko Wuttke.

The event was once again staffed by top-class people.

In addition to numerous bosses and employees of key companies in the offshore sector and representatives of the US offshore network, Tobias Goldschmidt, Minister of the Environment of Schleswig-Holstein, and Joschka Fischer also visited the offshore island. A highlight was the fireside chat with the Mayor of Heligoland, Jörg Singer, in which the former Federal Foreign Minister illustrated how climate change and the use of global resources are linked to current fragile world politics.

In interesting panels, the WindSee Act was critically scrutinized or the hurdles to achieving the German and American offshore targets - 30 GW by 2030 were discussed.

Despite all the challenges to achieve these goals, it has become clear time and again that only the consistent expansion of renewables, such as offshore wind, will lead us out of the energy crisis.

8.2 Consulting AG is looking forward to the next Offshore Economic Forum on Heligoland!
