8.2 Consulting AG qualified: 1st round test “Determination of site quality after commissioning” (TR 10 Rev. 2)

Successful participation in the 1st round robin test by FGW e.V. - 8.2 Consulting AG takes another important step towards accreditation to determine the location quality of a wind farm

Technical Directive (TR) 10 was introduced with the EEG 2017 and states that the site yields of wind energy plants (WEA), which are put into operation on the basis of the new EEG, must be regularly reviewed. For this purpose, the site quality is determined in accordance with a defined procedure for the first time at start-up and then every 5 years. Based on the quality of the location, a correction factor is set, which is used to calculate the remuneration of the previous 5 years. This results in refunds or repayments of EEG remuneration received, for which operators should set up reserves in good time.

Through its committee work at FGW, 8.2 Consulting AG is involved as an expert in the technical development of TR 10 right from the start. The qualification that has now been carried out in the first round test to “Determine the site quality after commissioning” is the basic requirement for participation in the 2nd part of the round robin test, which is to take place in the first half of 2022 and at the end of which is complete accreditation in the form of an FGW certificate of conformity.

With this accreditation, 8.2 offers its customers real added value:

In addition to the reviews required in TR 10 every 5 years, we will also provide our customers with annual indicative analyses, which can be used to calculate changes in time availability and site income at an early stage. The amount of reserves to be built up in the event of a repayment of the EEG remuneration can therefore be continuously estimated, which leads to more planning security during ongoing operations and opens up greater financial leeway.
