The First Wind Turbine at the “EnBW HedReiht” Wind Farm is installed! April 24, 2025 marks the “beginningof the end” of the global production work for Germany's largest offshorewind farm currently under construction some 110 kilometers west of Heligolandin the North Sea.
A milestone in the technological progress of the offshore industry has been reached with the V236-15.0 MW wind turbine, which ISVESTAS' largest turbine available on the market with a rated power of 15 MW.
Since the Project's Inception, 8.2 Consulting AG as an anindependent consulting and inspection company has been entrusted with ensuringhigh quality standards during the production phase. 8.2 Consulting AG has notonly over 15 years of experience in inspecting offshore turbines but also aunique prospective on manufacturing as it has accompanied various generations of offshore wind turbines on their journey to series production.
For “EnBW He Dreiht,” which means “He Rotates” in Low German, 8.2 inspectors have been involvedalong the entire supply chain of individual components since March 2024. Theinspectors have been conducting quality audits across the global supply chainincluding cast parts and electrical components. 8.2 Consulting AG is supportedby specialists from the 8.2 Group who have specific expertise in coating, electrical engineering and bearing technology.
With the start of pre-assembly, activitieswere shifted to the Danish towns of Esbjerg and Munkebo. Since then, 8.2 Consulting AG has been permanently on-site with several inspectors up to sixdays a week to oversee pre-assembly and accompany the final walkdowns. Theproximity of the pre-assembly sites and the high level of presence enablecontinuous monitoring of the manufacturing process, which culminated in thesuccessful installation of the first offshore turbine at the end of April.

The work in Denmark with the support of8.2 Consulting AG will continue until spring 2026, when all 64 turbines will be completed and the offshore wind farm can live up to its name: “Herotates!”
