30 years 8.2 Group — Experience, Responsibility and Looking Forward

The 8.2 Group turns 30 years old this year — an occasion to pause, to look back and, above all, to think ahead.

Since 1995, we have been supporting the technical development of renewable energies: as independent experts, as consultants and as reliable contacts for operators, project developers, investors and manufacturers worldwide. Our work ranges from onshore and offshore wind energy to photovoltaic and storage technologies to topics such as grid integration, certification, QHSE and green hydrogen. What unites us in all of this is the deep-rooted conviction that renewable energy is not a trend, but a social imperative — and that technical excellence is a decisive success factor in this.

8.2 has stood for neutrality, expertise and lived responsibility for three decades. We audit, certify and advise — independently, proactively and close to the market. Always with the aim of making the energy revolution safe, economical and sustainable.

What began in 1995 with a single engineering office is now an international network with over 40 independent locations.

Our 180+ experts worldwide analyse complex systems, find individual solutions and apply their experience where it is needed — whether in Hamburg, Portugal or Brazil.

But we haven't just grown. We've also become bolder. New technologies such as condition monitoring, data-based inspection apps or AI-based analyses are now just as much a part of our portfolio as classic reports, recurring inspections, construction progress monitoring or well-founded service life assessments.

We are also clearly positioning ourselves socially: As a company that not only preaches sustainability, but lives it — professionally, ecologically and socially.
