INSPECTORS FOR WIND TURBINE, MACHINE & ROTOR BLADES (m/f/d) / Östersund, Sweden

Your duties & responsibilities

  • Inspection of wind turbines (incl. rotor blades) and their components within the scope of various tasks.
  • Damage assessments.
  • Monitoring of repair measures.
  • Implementation of construction progress controls / site management.
  • Evaluation of wind energy projects in the context of technical due diligence.
  • Documentation
  • Place of employment is Östersund, Sweden; willingness and ability to travel regularly within the Nordic countries but able to travel across Europe. Due to the nature of the work, we travel up to 180 days per year.

As 8.2 in general, 8.2 Jemtergi AB specializes with passion in the renewable energy sector as well. We predominantly work with wind & solar, and our customers are owners or would be owners of assets and their affiliates: investors, developers, operators etc. that don´t have the necessary “know how” inhouse or see the benefit of outsourcing this.

We offer a wide range of Owners Engineer services: technical inspections (ToC, EoW etc.), project TDD´s, contract assessments and Resident Engineer services.   

We are looking to strengthen our team with additional turbine inspectors with rope access capabilities. We are looking for both junior and senior colleagues to fill this position. If you are new to the renewable energy sector but have documented rope access experience and would like to evolve in your role you will be considered for the position.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a technical apprenticeship or a graduate degree in relevant technical engineering.
  • Experience from wind turbine construction or operation is beneficial however some industrial experience is a requirement.
  • Preparedness to reach rope access level 3 (preferably IRATA / SPRAT) is a prerequisite. However, rope access experience is a requirement.
  • European driver's license B is a requirement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the Nordic countries but able to travel across Europe. Due to the nature of the work, we travel up to 180 days per year.
  • Full and valid GWO package is a merit.
  • Health and physique that allows you to obtain a Swedish medical certificate for work at height is a prerequisite. (AFS 2019:3).
  • You like to work in a team and want to learn new things.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken is a requirement, Swedish and German is meriting.
  • You need to be a focused and results-orientated person that can keep track of the details as well as having the view on the full width of the project, this all with an emphasis on safety.
  • You can organize priorities and workloads both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are easy going and work well in a team-based environment.
  • Experienced in working in an international work environment understanding the possible cultural and professional differences involved.
